Residency
At The Crossing

Frequently Asked Questions

The residency program is designed for new or recent graduates seeking full-time ministry experience. this program bridges the gap between classroom learning and permanent vocational ministry, including space to grow emotionally, spiritually, and professionally.

All we ask is that you’ve completed, at minimum, your bachelor’s degree in any field by time the program begins.

Each resident will have a paid, 40 hour work week, including weekend responsibilities and serving opportunities. Schedules will vary week to week, so we discourage any additional jobs as it may interfere with the program.

This program is uniquely designed to train and equip future ministry leaders. Over 12 months, residents will gain critical skills and experience that apply to a variety of contexts. While we cannot guarantee a permanent job at the crossing upon completion of this program, we will assist each resident in discerning and taking their next vocational steps.

The Crossing does not provide financial assistance for housing. We do, instead, offer a highly competitive compensation package with benefits. If you are unfamiliar with the St. Louis area, we’d be happy to make recommendations on places you might be interested in living. If this is the case, please email us at residency at The Crossing.
