Message: Ezekiel and the Power of the Spirit

Speaker: Greg Holder

Service Date: April 24, 2022 Plain Print Version

The hand of the LORD was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry . . . He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" "Sovereign LORD, you alone know." "I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD."

And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

"Come, breath, from the four winds and breathe into these slain, that they may live."

Ezekiel 37:2, 6-9

Reflect

How did this weekend's message encourage you? In what ways has Jesus shown up as the Good Shepherd in your life? What is your best resurrection story? What do you need God to resurrect in your life? In what ways are you feeling anxious? How can you surrender those things to God? How will you intentionally experience the Father's love? What steps can you take to notice the Spirit's presence this week?

Do

Remember that when dead bones live, the rest of us are reminded that God does his best work in graveyards.
