Message: Image of God

Speaker: Greg Holder

Service Date: October 25, 2020 Plain Print Version

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Gen. 1:1,27

Every human being bears the image of God. (Latin: Imago Dei) We are created for relationship with each other but, in a distinct and wondrous way, with God. The longings of our souls trace back to this innate capacity for intimacy with the eternal one...To bear his image is a statement of human dignity. There are no ordinary people. This is also a statement of human responsibility. We are to reflect the righteousness of God to each other and the world.
