Waiting. Trials. Patience. Perseverance. These are heavy words and not always fun to talk about. But waiting and hoping are part of this life, and the Bible has some brutally honest but very encouraging things to say about it. We are near the end of our study in the Book of Acts, where the apostle Paul has his life threatened and is left in jail for two years. Even in those moments, we are reminded of a God that does not flee from us or forget us. We are reminded of a hope in Jesus that will sustain us.
