Read: Proverbs 29:18, Romans 10:9, 13, Acts 10:36, Luke 6:5, Philippians 2:5-11, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, John 14:26
Reflect:
1. Have you ever heard the phrase, "Jesus is my Homeboy?" What do you think of it? What about the declaration, "Jesus is Lord?"
2. How do you do with authority? How is that impacting your spiritual journey?
3. Reviewing the "Responsibilities of a Landlord," we see the following: 1) Purchase of property, 2) Providing an agreement or contract, and 3) Maintaining or responding to the property. And, in turn, the "Responsibilities of a Tenant" include: 1) Maintain the property, 2) Honor your neighbors, and 3) Report issues.
Which of these convicted you the most during the message?
4. What do you make of Jesus' offer of a covenant?
5. God does not call us tenants, but children. How does this change the way you think of your relationship to Him as Lord? Have you ever experienced grace from someone in authority? What happened?
6. Reflecting on Romans 10:9, have you fully surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord?
