It is good to remember God's faithfulness. The writers of the Psalms often do this even in times of distress and crisis.

Why is remembering and gratitude important for us?
Where have you seen God be faithful recently?
Read Matthew 5:3-10

Which phrase in the Beatitudes can you relate to the most at this point in your life?
What do you think of when you hear the word blessed?
The blessing is presence.
Jesus is announcing that God is on your side in whatever you are going through.
God is with you when you are at the end of your rope.
DISCUSSION
Have you ever thought about the fact that God is on your side?
What does that mean you?
How have you experienced the blessing of God's presence in the past?
What are ways that we can be present to others in whatever they are going through?
In light of this remarkable opportunity, reconsider your whole way of living.
