Unimaginable

Kenny opened the service with a question:

DISCUSSION:

Are the worship songs we sing a sound track of our lives?

How do you make that experience a part of your story?

Do the conversations in your head ever tell you that you're not good enough?

How can you find the answer to that challenge?

Greg introduced the idea that God often speaks truth into our lives outside of Scripture.

DISCUSSION:

What does that look like? (movies, symphonies, rap (Propaganda).

How can we respond to that phenomena?

In the busyness and demands of this world we often forget who Jesus is.

DISCUSSION:

How can we handle the challenge to REMEMBER?

What part of our story does Holy Communion play?

    Do you have a Bible?

What does it mean to let the words, stories, and thoughts soak into our lives?

Greg wanted to make sure we are on the same page and agree that the Bible is home base and the final filter for our life questions, choices and experiences.

DISCUSSION:

How can you apply this conclusion to your day to day living?

Read Mark 5:21-34

Greg introduced the idea of a story sandwich.

DISCUSSION:

What is a story sandwich and how does it help our understanding of what the Bible is teaching?

Do you call on Jesus to heal your brokenness (physical, emotional and spiritual)?

    What does that look like?

What is your posture before God when you reach out to Him for healing?

What does our posture say about the condition of our hearts?

Jesus' timing in life is often different than ours.

DISCUSSION:

How do you handle that reality?

In the Mark story, Jesus pauses on his way to see Jairus' dying child to respond to the unclean woman who reached out for her healing. The crowd then reports that his little girl was dead. Jesus' answer to Jairus was, "I will go with you".

DISCUSSION:

How does the truth of Jesus' presence speak into our crisis in life?

Don't give up hope. This is the foundation of our journey. Don't give up hope and trust in the One True God. This is the reality we cling to.

DISCUSSION:

How do we settle into His goodness and grace?

Is there a miracle that you are still waiting to see happen? How can you find hope and comfort in the truth that He joins you on your journey?
