From the The Heartbeat of Us series ...
Speaker: Greg Holder
Service Date: October 25, 2020
MONDAY: Use all day to memorize the bold portion of this passage from Scripture: Colossians 3:12-14 – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
TUESDAY: Start this week by taking five minutes to pray for your church and for people in your church community.
WEDNESDAY: Do research and find one interesting resource (book, article, documentary, etc.) that articulates a viewpoint different from your own. Write down two things you learned and two things you need to give more thought to.
THURSDAY: Take a forgiveness inventory: make a list (and then destroy it) of people you may need to forgive (or revisit forgiveness with). Pray for them, for God’s help, and if necessary, reach out to a pastor, counselor, or trusted friend to help you.
FRIDAY: Read 1 Corinthians 12 “Lectio-Divina” style. What did God show you? For a refresher on Lectio-Divina, watch today’s video.
