"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit."
Ephesians 2:19-22

Read

Exodus 19:16-20, Acts 2:1-10, Ephesians 2:19-22, Joel 2:28-29

Reflect

1. Do you have a favorite musical where layers of motifs come together at the end? What is it? 2. What sticks out to you most about what Luke is pulling together in Acts 2:1-10? What do you make of the background in Shavuot, God coming down to us in Exodus 19, or the promise of the people of God being the temple where God resides? Did anything else resonate? 3. The Spirit empowers us to love and serve one another. And in Him we are being "built together to become a dwelling in which God is living by His Spirit." How does God want to do this in your life? Who is God calling you to deeper friendship with? 4. Since we are called to do this together, what will you do to pursue community this week?

Do

Tim reminded us that, "God is breaking down barriers and drawing people together." How will you join Him in doing that? Is there unresolved conflict or distance between you and someone else? As far as it is up to you, how can you pursue peace?
