Every human being bears the image of God. (Latin: Imago Dei)
We are created for relationship with each other but, in a distinct and wondrous way, with God. The longings of our souls trace back to this innate capacity for intimacy with the eternal one...To bear his image is a statement of human dignity. There are no ordinary people. This is also a statement of human responsibility. We are to reflect the righteousness of God to each other and the world.
