Reflect

1. Many of us find ourselves in different places in quarantine: aggravated, bored, excited, grateful, eager, or in the middle of a howling storm. How would you describe where you find yourself? 2. In Luke 24:21 we hear the expression, "But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel." (ESV) Have you ever had a moment when hope seemed to wear thin? How does this story speak into that sense of hopelessness? 3. There is a theme of invitation in this story. Jesus asks the two what they are discussing. What do you make of Jesus' decision to ask this question? 4. During the Emotional Health Webinar, some of our counselors said that this quarantine would expose cracks, and if we let God enter into those situations, He can bring healing. Has quarantine caused you to consider attending to something? What is it?

Do

We got to see an example of someone creating a work of art this week that gives us hope. How can you express hope for someone this week? Perhaps a work of art, or a phone call, or a letter? Who needs hope, and how will you express it to them?
