Re-imagine Week Seven

I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae. I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.

Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me . . .

Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.

Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you.

Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.

Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who worked hard in the Lord.

Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord.

Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me, too.

I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord.

Names that Paul mentions in Romans 16

You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.

Read

Romans 16; 1 John 3:18; Galatians 6:11

Reflect

1. How do you tend to deal with conflict in the world? 2. What does Romans 16 teach you about your relationships? 3. What actions can you take to live out the gospel in your day-to-day life? 4. What are some characteristics of snotty people? 5. Who are the people in your life that can call you on your blind spots? 6. Why is it challenging to learn from people how are different from you? How can you do it humbly? 7. In what ways can you begin to listen well to the people around you?

Do

Find someone different from you, have a conversation and listen well.
