"Who is my neighbor?"
Luke 10:29

Reflect

1. Who can come up with the funniest out-of-place group of three? (Like Harry, Curly, and Lord Voldemort!) 2. We learned about the tension between Samaritans and Jews going back 900 years before Jesus. When you see tension between groups of people today, how does Jesus' teaching shape how you think, feel, and respond to that tension? 3. "If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?" Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. asked in relation to this passage. What goes on inside of you when you think about why the priest and Levite avoided the man in need? 4. How do you learn to love someone with whom you deeply disagree?

Do

1. Could you have a gentle, loving conversation with someone you disagree with this week? Practice intentional listening. 2. Where is the hatred and anger for you? When does it bubble up? How can the love of God change that in you this week? 3. God is restoring all things in Christ. Is there a relationship He is calling you to mend in light of this restoration project?
