Reflect

1. What is one thing that was in your house and you didn’t know it was there? 2. Can you identify with being ‘the cupbearer to the king?’ Have you ever been the behind-the-scenes person waiting for something? How so? It’s a vulnerable thing, but God cares and God sees. 3. God cares about all of the conflict and heartache in our world, ever as much as He cares about our deepest longings and dreams. What came to mind for you in all of that? What one thing do you want to see God revive or restore? 4. Have you ever prayed or confessed: “God, I just want to admit my part?”

Do

1. Consider Nehemiah 1:4-11. Nehemiah begins with adoration of God and then moves into confessing his sins. Pray a prayer of confession this week. 2. If your prayer is leading you to repair in a relationship, reach out. 3. Consider Nehemiah 2:5 – practice prayer throughout your day, even in between sentences. 4. Did God bring anyone to mind when considering the sadness in Nehemiah’s eyes? Reach out to them.
