"God's wrath is not a cranky explosion, but his settled opposition to the cancer...which is eating out the insides of the human race he loves with his whole being."

Read

Reflect

1. How do you do with movies or stories that never resolve? Does it help to know how the story ends for you? Talk about some examples. 2. Consider the quote from Becky Pippert above. What do you think of when you hear "God's wrath?" Does it sound like God is cranky? What is the difference between how we think of human wrath and God's "settled opposition" to sin and evil? 3. C.S. Lewis wrote: "There are only two kinds of people - those who say "Thy will be done," to God or those to whom God in the end says, "Thy will be done." What do you think of that? 4. Do you think we expect things to be "comfortable?" If so, why do you think that is?
